report is that Charley
took my jewelry. Pa is
tracking it and is getting
awful mad. He asked Jule
is she heard it she said Reub
Vance told her he heard it.
Mr Miller first told Pa [illegible]
Mark has gone to Washing-
ton from them. Venei says
Mad us not a circumstance
to what Pa is, "he's furious".
Aunt Maria said she believed
some one had taken it to W- to
hurt Luther] I believe Pa thinks
they started the report. The
truth is they are in such a
tight place they don't know
what to do- People are talking
[Written vertically in margin]
about this as much as
they did about his disappearance
Good bye- God Bless You
Yours Lovingly
Mary
