in a few weeks we received a letter from
the agent a few days since asking use for the
hall.
Jno Skance works the Sorrel and Jim every
day and if there is any such thing as
snow he says he will drive your
horse Dingle he is looking better than
I ever saw him.
Frank Neal has gone ^on^ the [illegible]
Henderson as striker and does very
well has had no trouble in Landing
the boat the engineer seems to think he
is an old hand at it
The ice is running in the river and
unless the weather moderates the
Steam boats will have to lay to the
Bank
My regards to
George
