I wish you had have been here
I dont believe Frank Johnston
shaved all the hair off one
of them. I think he cooked it
on the same principle Nick
Bourereau did the Hogs Head
on the flat boat. Pa can
tell you how that was.
     Have special care taken
of Joseph. I am now ri-
ding a white horse. he is a
little better mark in battle
but I dont know either but
what it is all a notion too.
I dont think a man is any more
apt to be hit on a white horse
than he is on a black one.
My opinion is those who try to
keep from being hit are the
ones who nine time out of ten
are struck- A man is just
as liable to be shot running
as he is if he faces the enemy.
that is my opinion-  there is some
danger of our own men shooting him.
