Dear Mother.
I
have not
received any letters from you for some
time. but presume you have a good
and lawful excuse for not writing
as you always write unless such
is the case, I dont know what.
I can communicate that will
be interesting to you, the army is
perfectly silent at least our corps
is and I presume will be for
the next six months to come.
we are gaurding the R R and
the Bridges. I know some troops
have this to do, but I am
tired of this. I want my Bat-
