since we occupied Shelby-
ville. They are both gradua-
ted. though they live in the
south they are ohioians by
birth and have none of
those exquisite southern airs
about them. The judge has
no slaves. The two young ladies
cook week [?] about. The Judge
is well off in the goods of
this world and is daily ad-
ding to his stores.
     The Judge his wife the two
little young ladies and one
little boy about the age of five-
my [?] the family. the
"happy family" for it is in-
deed a happy family.
     I must tell you how I
was treated by the folks last
