vited elsewhere to tea, but
was to go to the Judges to
stay all night. You know
I am bashful, and I did
not meet the young man
who invited me out and
accordingly did not ven-
ture to his house alone al-
though I was expected. but
after remaining where I ex-
pected to meet him till rather
a late hour. I made tracks
for the Judges. ( he lives just
one mile out of town) when
I reached there supper was
over, but Miss Fannie met
me at the door and took
me direct to the dining
room I sat down and
she waited on me in such
style that she about won
my heart. I was soon
