them to the Q.M. General and cited
him the new orders and Regulations
which abolished the other Reports
accounts abstracts &c. that he
called for. the old fellow grew fur-
ious. he had an order issued
placing me in close arrest. this
occurred on the 13th inst. a week
ago last sunday. and I have been
in close arrest ever since. not
going out of my quarters. He has
preferred charges against me
all of which I am satisfied
I will disprove effectually to
the court. notwithstanding the
hard swearing I expect him
to do. The court is ordered here
to try me. If is composed of good
men one of the members being
