                  May 18th 1864
Dear Father
                      We are
still here_ have
orders to "move im-
mediately" but cannot
get the necessary trans
portation_ Last evening
we recd position orders
"to go at 6 o'clock"
went to the Depot
but no transportation
we now have a promise
of transportation to-day
Part of the Regiment
goes -- my company
is one of the number
The understanding
now is that we go
