            Hot Springs Ark
                  Dear Joe= Yours are all an-
swerd=  nothing new at the mill
Since I wrote you Saturday night
A. Vance & J.L. Vance Hauled to Washing-
ton yesterday= Turned back from
Porter= The Col. was not [illegible]
to the trip=  Sam Nash his atty
left this morning on Telegraph
pressure he is going to Washington
all [illegible] to try & keep this Jewelry
matter quiet=  Every body is talking
about it=  Dave Smithers had it
from Sam & to the gals= West
Va. not yet in=  Have ordered from
Stuart Mr Buck by mail= Saygce[?] Johnson
today 15 Bbld XXX= Raining this
evening In fact been drizzling
all day= This interferes with harvest-
ing=  Rather have the rain now
though, than after while=  Mill
