Elaine Lois Heath, the daughter of Guyan I. and Anna Keyser, was born in 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia. She was the president of the Midas Muffler Company of Huntington. She was 42 when she and her husband, Emmett, died, leaving four children: Kevin Andrew, Geoffrey Allen, Kathleene, and Holly Anne.
