Memorial of the 1970 Marshall University Football Team Plane Crash

PAT and JANICE TIERNEY

Dr. Glen Preston and his wife, Phyllis, asked the Tierney's to accompany them on the airplane to the East Carolina game. Pat Tierney, a nurse anesthetist, would have gone, but could not accept the invitation because of his work obligations. Pat and Janice heard about the crash while having dinner at the Huntington Elks Club.
