A rare edition of
Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations” bound with wallpaper covers.
This 1863 edition was published by S. H. Goetzel & Co. of Mobile,
Alabama, and printed by J. Y. Thompson, a Mobile printer. Southern
printers utilized wallpaper and other materials when the Union blockade cut
off their paper supply.
