ACTION ONBOARD THE ALABAMA AND THE KEARSARGE ON THE CSS ALABAMA A Shell Burst Returning for the Wounded ON THE USS KERSARGE A Telling Shot  The 11-Inch Gun The Alabama Surrenders Hauling Down the Flag		These illustrations depict the actions of the crews on board the CSS Alabama and USS Kearsage during the engagement off the port of Cherbourg, France. The sailors on both  vessel fought the battle with bravery and skill.
