Sketch of the front of a house. This house is a fine example of the neo-classical style, which incorporated elements of ancient Greek and Roman architecture. Note the porch with its triangular pediment and fan window, as well as the classical style pillars Note that the door is missing from the sketch. The architect has been charged to design a new door with its surrounds that compliment the over style of the structure. "Door surrounds" are the design elements that surround the door.
