In the late 1890s Oscar R. Staley opened a studio out
of his home at 1912 5th Avenue. At some point he
also entered into a partnership with a man named
Miller. Apparently, Staley and Miller separated, and
he and his wife Lillie opened a studio at
1929 3rd Avenue around 1900.
Biographical information on these two men has not been found.
Special collections has a number
card prints, taken by Staley, in its still image
collections. It has only two that carry
the Staley & Miller logo.
