the USS Osage

The USS Osage, a vehicle landing ship, was the vessel on which
Marvin L. Stone served during World war II.

Marvin L. Stone served on the USS Osage,
from December 1944 to December 1945 in the Pacific Theater.
He was then transferred to the Twelfth Naval District,
Naval Information Service San Francisco. He was released from active duty
in 1946 and entered the inactive U.S. Naval Reserve,
where he served until he was honorable discharged in October 1956,
as a Lieutenant, Junior Grade.
