Marvin Stone at his typewritter

Marvin L. Stone, after receiving his masters degree from the Columbia School
of Journalism, went to work for the International News Service in 1950,
which became the United Press International (UPI) in 1958.
After a brief stay in New York, he worked at a number of European
 bureaus—Frankfurt, Vienna, Paris, and London—between 1950-1952.
This photograph shows him at his trusty manual typewriter.
