Autumn Lovesong was Jesse
Stuart sixth published book of poetry.
The book’s dust jacket describes it as a
book filled with “the colors of fall
with the warmth of summer.” Stuart’s
work “plays with autumn’ contrasting
cold and warmth, wind and calm, soaring
and falling, birth and dying.” It is a
book “not about the end of love. Rather,
it tells of the season of love’s
harvest.” There are two copies in the
Jesse Stuart Collection, both inscribed
by Jesse Stuart.
