listening to live music.
October 2003
(Huntington, WV) October is Recycle For Sight month. The MU Lions club began
collecting old eyeglasses from fellow students, friends and family. These
glasses will be refurbished and provided to visually impaired people in poor
nations. In 1925, Helen Keller challenged the Lions Club to be "knights of
the blind." The Recycle For Sight program was created with this mission in
mind. The MU Lions Club wiill be collecting glasses for the most of the remainder
of the semester. Look for drop off boxes to be placed in dorms sometime soon.
