Tenure-Track Position(s)
in Mathematics for Fall 2008
The Department of Mathematics of Marshall University invites
applications for one or more tenure-track positions for Fall 2008.
We invite applications, particularly at the rank of assistant
professor. Our faculty has 27 full-time members and offers a B.S.
and M.A. in Mathematics. The primary mission of our department is
quality undergraduate and graduate education.
A Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences is required by August 2008.
Applicants should submit evidence of quality teaching and research
potential. Successful applicants will have research interests in
common with current faculty; see

Completed applications should be received by December 1, 2007. A
completed application consists of an
AMS Cover Sheet, a
curriculum vitae, a teaching statement, a research statement, and
three letters of recommendation. At least one letter should
seriously address the candidate's teaching qualifications. Note that
letters of recommendation should not be sent by the applicant.
