- West Virginia Save Our Streams Program-

Next Stream Monitoring:

WV SOS is a volunteer stream-monitoring program developed by the Division of Water Resources. The program uses benthic macroinvertebrate samples to measure stream health. Volunteers sort the samples of insects into categories that indicate stream quality. Samples are taken up to four times a year, with a minimum of two per site (fall and spring).  Mesa is also conducting visual watershed assessments and stream cleanups along Four Pole Creek, our adopted stream.
