The Jack and Frances “Babs” Fruth Scholarship was founded in the honor of Mr. and Mrs. Fruth. This is for any area high school graduating senior that intends on going to MOVC for their entire first year. This scholarship is endowed with the Marshall University Foundation and the amount fluctuates each year depending on the economic market.
The Verna Kay Gibson Scholarship was founded by Mr. James Gibson, husband of Mrs. Verna Gibson, a Point Pleasant High School graduate. This scholarship is for a Point Pleasant High School graduating senior and it is renewable for up to a total of four years. This is a $5,000.00 scholarship and is renewable for a total amount of $20,000.00. The recipient may attend classes at either MOVC or the main campus in Huntington, WV.
The Mid-Ohio Valley Center scholarship is for a graduating high school student that is planning on attending MOVC for their entire first year. This scholarship is endowed with the Marshall University Foundation and the amount fluctuates each year depending on the economic market. If anyone has questions they may call MOVC at 304-674-7200. If the student has problems downloading the form each high school counselor should have a copy of the application form.
