Facilities

Marshall University can provide a variety of settings for your seminars, workshops, conferences or sports camps individually tailored to the size and needs of your organization.  Classroom, auditoria, comfortable meeting rooms and full video conferencing capabilities are available.  Our conference staff can provide you with audio-visual equipment and furniture needs as well as information on security, transportation and parking.  The university library's 24-hour network access, closed-circuit Instructional Television Service, printing services, campus post office, and our university bookstore are all available to meet your needs.  Recreational facilities include lighted tennis courts, an outdoor track, an Olympic sized swimming pool, indoor basketball, racquetball and volleyball courts as well as a recreation area housed in the Memorial Student Center that includes billiards, table tennis and a TV lounge.

Accommodations

Housing on the Marshall University campus is provided in the Twin Towers Residence Hall complex and in the newly opened Marshall Commons, which offers residence suites.  The residence halls offer the finest in community living accommodations.  Twin Towers offers comfortable rooms designed for either single or double occupancy, air temperature control, wall-to-wall carpeting, two beds, desks and chairs.  Community-style rest room facilities with showers are centrally located on each floor.  Marshall Commons has multiple occupancy suites, with each suite having its own restroom and shower.  Coin-operated laundry facilities are located on each floor of the Towers and on the ground floor of each Commons building.  Our residence halls, like most of our campus, are barrier-free and can accommodate most physically challenged guests.  A television lounge and formal Glass Lounge are located on the main floor of Twin Towers, while each Commons building has a television lounge on the first floor.  Vending machines are likewise located on the main floor of each hall.  To view our accommodations, check out the links below.  For conference accommodation pricing please contact Linda Bowen, the Facilities Scheduling Manager.

Food Service

Marshall University offers full dining services as well as a complete catering service.  Our dining staff can accommodate your group's needs, whether you are seeking a simple luncheon or an elegant formal dinner.  Several facilities are available for dining so you can choose the dining experience you prefer, from a large cafeteria-style setting, formal banquet hall, or an intimate upscale restaurant atmosphere.  For more information about campus dining, including menus and prices, please visit the dining services website.

Location

Marshall University is centrally located in downtown Huntington, West Virginia.  A broad variety of off-campus accommodations as well as various dining opportunities are available within a few minutes walk from campus, as is Huntington's downtown shopping district.  The campus itself is easily accessible from I-64 by taking exit 11 onto Hal Greer Boulevard.  A map of our campus and maps of the Memorial Student Center are here.
