The Summer Conference Manager oversees the residence hall operations during the summer conference season, including residence hall office functions and supervision of the Summer Conference Staff. The manager works closely with the Facilities Scheduling Office and with the on-site Conference Coordinators to ensure all conference needs are met. The manager reports directly to the Manager of Facilities Scheduling.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership experience Strong communication and organizational skills Previous experience in staff management Minimum one semester experience in managing, administering and coordinating activities Experience working with the public Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment Ability to quickly adapt to changing situations Familiarity with campus and community resources Knowledge of fire and other residence hall emergency procedures Minimum 2.5 G.P.A.
Dates of employment: May 16, 2013 through July 31, 2013
Live in residence hall during dates of employment Assist in interviewing Conference Assistant applicants in early spring Prepare for and conduct all Conference Staff training sessions Take no more than one class per session Take no vacation without prior approval of the Facilities Scheduling Manager Have no second job/internship without prior approval of the Facilities Scheduling Manager
