Four Year Science Programs

Integrated Science and Technology Program

If you know your future is in computers, but you're not sure which field to study, there is something for you in the Marshall University College of Science.

An advisory board of professionals working on all sides of computer development and technology guides the Computer and Information Technology division of the Integrated Science and Technology Program.

Working with this board, our faculty has developed three tracks pf study, giving students a variety of career choices in the growing computer industry.

Successful careers in Software Development, Network Administration, and Database Management await Computer and Information Technology students, because the board and our faculty work together to shape a curriculum that prepares graduates for employment immediately upon graduation.

Areas of emphasis within the Integrated Science and Technology Program are:

  • Software engineering
  • Programming languages
  • Web-based application development
  • Network protocols and network design
  • Database design
  • Database programming
  • Electronic commerce

Students also may begin or continue work on Cisco certification as part of their study in the Network Administration track.

The integrated Science and Technology program produces graduates who are critical thinkers, skilled communicators and team players with strong foundations in mathematics and logic.

Integrated Science and Technology graduates understand the influence of science and technology on modern society. We have small classes, a faculty dedicated to success, and an atmosphere in which students have a hand in shaping their education and their future.
