The Dual Career Initiative provides
an array of personalized employment
assistance to spouses and partners
of newly hired Marshall University
faculty. Dual Career Services will help
identify potential jobs at the
university and within the community
if a partner/spouse wishes to seek
employment up to six months.
This service includes connecting the
spouses and partners with Tri-State
professionals in their career
fields, who can provide information
on job opportunities. In addition,
this provides Tri-State employers
with a list of new, qualified
applicants to fill their vacant
positions. The chair of the hiring
department may make the initial
contact on behalf of the
spouse/partner, or they may initiate
the contact by filling out the
Information Request Form (

This service is meant to expedite
the job search, but in no way does
Marshall create positions or
guarantee employment.
