Underrepresented Research Scholars Program $5,000 grant per year to support STEM student proposals in the research areas of West Virginia’s NSF Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) rolling deadline
College-University Collaboration Program $20,000 for development of a collaborative research project between investigators at either WVU or Marshall University and scientists at the State's undergraduate institutions. (1:1 match required) Feb./March

Research Seed Grant $5,000 to initiate research activities, conduct pilot experiments, or demonstrate new concepts that might lead to significant future projects. (1:1 match required) Feb./March

Undergraduate Fellowship

$3,000 - $5,000 awards for full time US undergraduate students in aerospace or science related fields desiring to participate in a research project. Feb./March

Graduate Research Fellowship $12,000 awards for US graduate students in aerospace and other science fields to get involved in a research project under the supervision of their academic advisor or to  participate directly in NASA activities. Feb./March

Student Internship Program 10-week resident summer research program for undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. Programs are offered at either the NASA IV & V Facility in Fairmont, WV or at WV High-Technology companies. Summer-annually

College Course Development $10,000 funds to develop new and innovative courses in STEM fields (online courses considered). Feb./March

Joint University Industry Research $20,000 funds to support collaborative research projects that promote technology development and transfer to the private sector. Feb./March

Travel Grant for researchers to travel to NASA field centers or NASA headquarters to meet and initiate collaborative projects with NASA scientists. Feb./March

Research Initiation Grants $10,000 - $30,000 for research in science and engineering areas that are related to NASA's mission. (Cost share and support from a NASA scientist are required). Feb./March

Pre-College Outreach & Curriculum Development Up to $10,000 for K-12 students in science, math & engineering programs to design and implement K-12 outreach projects. Feb./March
