Research
Through a partnership with the Marshall University Forensics Science Department, Dr. Logan helped create a research and service center to benefit the law enforcement community. This center developed the Marshall Information Security and Digital Evidence (MISDE) service to aid the community.

 

She served as a Co-PI for two National Science Foundation-supported programs at Marshall, the MU-ADVANCE Program and the Trailblazer Scholarship Program.

 

Teaching
Dr. Logan taught at the Marshall University Graduate College located in South Charleston. At the graduate level, Logan was responsible for courses in multimedia, information security, computer forensics and networks. She was also responsible for the undergraduate computer security course.

 

Not only did she teach these courses, but Logan developed the information security, computer security, disaster recovery and computer forensics courses, as well as some online courses and the orientation to graduate study required class.

 

Service and Outreach
Dr. Logan served as an advisory board member for the Computer Security Institute (CSI). Logan served on several university committees, including the Athletic, Faculty Development Committee for Online and Multimedia Instruction (FDCOMI), Women’s Studies, and IT Strategic Planning. For two years she served as a panel reviewer for the National Science Foundation and has authored a security plan for the West Virginia Statewide Addressing and Mapping Board.

 

In 2007, Logan was nominated for the Marshall University Outstanding Research Award.
