Research Dr. Todd's research, which involves the use of oral history, focuses on issues of authority and identity among American Lutherans that led to a schism in the 1970s and their ongoing differences over the ordination of women.
Background
Dr. Todd’s tenure at Concordia University Chicago also afforded her the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge about how to develop and sustain Honors Programs. She began as the Director of the Honors Program and worked her way up the ranks to the position of Assistant Vice President for Academics. In these roles, her duties ranged from redesigning the Honors Program; directing a new graduate program in Liberal Studies; and overseeing a university core curriculum program that focuses on mission-specific, interdisciplinary courses, from the first-year to senior-year experiences.
