Multiculturalism is the inclusion of multi-many cultures; of or relating to a social or educational theory that encourages interest in many cultures within a society rather than only on one mainstream culture.

Multiculturalism seeks to recognize cultures that have been historically underrepresented in society or not given full voice within the course of decisions, policies and actions. Multiculturalism-is the doctrine that several different cultures (rather than one national culture) can coexist peacefully and equitably in a single country.

 



 

Di-ver-si-ty

 

Diversity is variety in group presence and interactions.  Diversity is not limited to but includes age, color, race, ethnicity, gender, religion, ability, sexual-orientation, socio-economic status, body-size, gender identity, geography, and national origin.
