Your enrollment in OHV courses will likely be a two step
process:
1. you must be admitted to Marshall University
2. you must register for your course(s)

Admission for OHV courses
Please find the student category below that fits your situation
and submit an admissions application as instructed.
As soon as you have been admitted to Marshall University, you
will receive a letter of acceptance from the Admissions Office
which includes your Marshall University ID (MUID) number. You are then
ready to register.
- If you’ve graduated from high school, but never attended college, apply as an Undergraduate Non-degree.
- Provide Application and Application Fee.
- If you’ve ever attended college, apply as an Undergraduate Transient student .
- Provide Application, Application Fee, and letter of good standing from current/most recent institution.
- If you’ve completed a bachelor’s degree, apply as an Undergraduate Special student.
- Provide Application, Application Fee, and an official transcript from Registrar’s Office of the institution where you earned the bachelors, showing degree awarded.
- If you’ve completed a bachelor’s degree, and would like to earn graduate credit, apply as a Graduate Non-degree. (Contact the Marshall University Graduate Admissions for more information at (800) 642-9842.)
- Provide Application, Application Fee, and an official transcript from Registrar’s Office of the institution where you earned the bachelors, showing degree awarded

Application fee can be paid online with a credit/debit card when submitting application, or call the Admissions Office the next business day to pay fee by phone. http://www.marshall.edu/admissions/content.asp#appfees
Once your online application is received, the Admissions Office will mail a letter with your MUID number and a request for credentials, if required.
You MUST indicate in the ‘statement of your activities since high school graduation’ field in the ‘High School’ section of the online application that you are applying to take OHV courses. Otherwise, the special admission criteria established for OHV applicants will not apply.

Registration Once you have completed your application, the Admissions Office will send you your Marshall University ID (MUID) number. In addition to your MUID number, you will need:
- Your PIN (personal identification number). The PIN is a six (6) digit number that is assigned to you (originally set at date of birth in six-digit format MMDDYY). Example: July 4, 1975 is 070475.
- The four-digit course reference number of each course you plan to take. This is a unique number required to identify the department, course, and section you are selecting when registering. Course reference numbers change each semester.
