About MUOnline

Welcome to MUOnline, Marshall University's portal to online instruction!

Marshall University is proud to offer more than one hundred courses to more than four thousand students worldwide along with the support services vital to their success.

Our online courses are designed for students who prefer to learn outside the physical classroom, according to their own schedules. Our goal is to offer Marshall University courses with a method of online delivery that will expand student access to our programs, courses, and services and that will provide them with a high quality educational experience. 

Our online courses use WebCT-Vista, a popular web-based course management system. The courses offered at MUOnline are developed by the Marshall University instructors who teach them. These courses reflect the same scope and depth of material and earn the same college credit as the traditional classes offer.

All of the learning tools that students need--syllabi, course materials, email, assignments, tests, communications, etc.- are contained in each course.
