WV Bioscience Summit Set For April 26-27 in Huntington

West Virginia’s life science industries create value for West Virginia and the world! Bio West Virginia’s members are innovators –making discoveries, improving science and growing our economy.

The Sixth Annual West Virginia Bioscience Summit, which will take place April 26-27, 2016, in Huntington, will bring together biotech companies, academic researchers, service providers, policy makers, economic developers, funders and others to engage in two days of education and inspiration focused on showcasing the value bio industries bring to the state and nation.

State and regional leaders–from the life sciences, academia and government–will inform, educate and inspire on a variety of topics, to include: Clinical Trials, University Commercialization, WV Biotech Company Updates, and much more!

The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, with a keynote luncheon followed by an afternoon of featured presenters. Tuesday evening, guests will be treated to a Bio & Beer Reception in downtown Huntington. The program continues on Wednesday morning, April 27, and will run through noon. An agenda will be announced soon.

The event will be held at Marshall University’s Brad D. Smith Foundation Hall,  located on 5th Avenue on the campus of Marshall University.

Bio West Virginia has a room block being held at the Holiday Inn & Suites Civic Arena. The cost for overnight lodging on April 26 is $124. To make your reservation, call the Holiday Inn at 304-523-8880 and request a room in the “BioWV Conference Block.”
