The mission of our organization is not only to make our members better writers, but readers as well.  We learn to write poetry, through challenging our members and introducing a number of types and methods of writing.
 

We also grow as readers.  We learn to read not only our own poetry, but that of others.  We draw influence from the great poets, such as Poe and Dickinson.
 

We learn to experience the world through words.  This opens our eyes to a whole new aspect and view.  We become aware of our surroundings and what the world is to us.  We learn to experience everything to its fullest and then find ways to express them to others.  We do this through POETRY.
