Thames Weir Project - here's some playboating on one of England's biggest rivers, the Thames, which ran right through the middle of my hometown (for a few years) of London. I never knew there was any whitewater in the Thames valley, but apparently, thanks to several weirs, there are.
Bitches - no I'm not just trying to be profane.... Bitches is not only a tidal wave, but the "biggest tidal race in the Northern Hemisphere" which occurs off the Pembrokeshire coast in Wales.
