Upper Meadow, III-IV+(V)
Upper Meadow is a really fun run. It is basically one rapid, four
miles long. There is an S-turn rapid that is run on the right
bank to stay away from a not-so-nice sieve on the ledge on the left.... and
the Natural Weir is always worth a look. At the Weir, the idea is
to boof into the left eddy. The hole is fairly bad at higher
levels. Each drop of Upper Meadow has many possibilities. As
it starts to get higher it starts to also get pushier. Most
people would call it a hybrid run between a creek and a river.
