  • An NSF grant. Chosen as one of 35 science teachers in West Virginia to form a Cadre of educators to deliver instruction to the secondary teachers in WV.  Monthly training sessions of 3 to 14 days to develop Mentor teachers for all counties in WV.

  • SHEEO-State Higher Education Executive Officers. Chosen as one of eleven (11) to represent WV at the National Forum on School To Work Transitions. Denver, Colo. May, 1995. Serve as oversight committee for Chancellor Manning.

  • Cooperative Doctoral Program in C & I. Serve as committee member for establishing new cooperative doctoral program with Marshall, WVU and WVGC. This committee will serve as the selection committee when the program begins in January, 1996.

  • Development of an alternative certification program for WVGC. Non education baccalaureate majors
    may pursue a certificate to teach by completing this program. Development of a Teacher Education
    handbook, a master syllabus for Directed Teaching, and compiling the courses needed to ensure success for participants have been part of the responsibility. Invited speaker. RESA V. August, 1995. Speaker on TECH PREP and curriculum reform. Huntington, WV.
