  • 2000-Present: Assistant Professor of Education, Marshall University. Teach Schools in a Diverse Society (EDF 475), Children’s Literature (CI 342), Secondary Methods (CI 415 – 515); supervise Clinical II secondary field experience (CI 470).

  • 1986-2000: Instructor/Supervisor, Supervised Student Teaching (CI 450, 452, 672), Marshall University. Taught weekly seminar for 16-20 secondary student teachers in the undergraduate and Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs. Observed students six times each in public school placements, directing development of instructional, professional, and interpersonal skills; evaluated final teaching competency; scheduled and lead individual and small-group remediation as necessary. Assisted Director of Clinical Experiences with student field placements, yearly workshops for classroom supervisors, scoring of written and oral Capstone presentations, and formulation of evaluative tools.
