  • Marshall University College of Education and Human Services. Orientation of new faculty to campus computer network and labs. Training included access and use of Banner, creating and storing webpages, use of the computer labs and Learning Resources Center, (2000).

  • Marshall University College of Education and Human Services. Training topics included creating web pages using Netscape Composer, uploading pages to the campus Internet server, uploading to a networked storage drive (2000).

  • Marshall University Center for Information Technology. Training topics included Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel (1998, 1999)

  • Appalachian Rural Systemic Initiative. Training topics included finding math and science resources on the Internet, accessing information through the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse, finding and obtaining materials and journals through the clearinghouse, and developing good Internet search strategies (1999).

  • West Virginia K-12 RuralNet Project. Training topics included accessing the Internet, e-mail, downloading files, pictures, software; integration of Internet with classroom teaching, water quality studies, and finding information on the Internet (3 times each 1995, 1996, 1997).

  • Appalachian Rural Systemic Initiative. Training on the use of PowerPoint software to improve instructional effectiveness for secondary teachers (1997).

  • Technology Implementation Leadership Training. Topics included basic operation of graphing calculators, using the interface between a calculator and computer, installing software on a graphing calculator, and finding mathematics information on the Internet (1995).

  • West Virginia K-12 RuralNet Project. Training topics included accessing the Internet, e-mail, downloading files, integration of Internet with classroom teaching, water quality studies, and finding information on the Internet (1994).
