Parent Reading List

The following list of books has been compiled from several different sources including parent websites and publications from other colleges and universities. They are made available as a resource from other parents who have experienced the challenges and triumphs of having a college student -- and then decided to write about it! Some are humorous, some may be tear-jerkers, and others will be matter-of-fact and thought-provoking. A few are written from the student’s point of view. Most should be available at your local library or at major online bookstores.

Were any of these books helpful to you? If you have read any of these books and would like to provide a brief review, please limit your comments to 150 words and submit to parents@marshall.edu. Please include the title of the book, your first and last name, your city and state, and your child’s current class level at Marshall. In the future, some reviews may be included on this website.
