Two free throws later, he's on to the Final Four

Most people attended the basketball game Saturday night so they could watch 40 minutes of exciting basketball. But, that evening four students had other intentions. They wanted to win a trip to the Final Four.

And, that's exactly what Jason Mace, Charleston junior, won when we made two out of three free throws at halftime

During halftime, the Memorial Student Center and the Athletic Department teamed up and gave away a trip for two to Indianapolis to attend the Final Four. The trip includes lodging for four nights, a rental car, tickets to the games and transportation to and from the games. The trip is valued at about $4,000.

During the past couple weeks, people on campus had the opportunity to win a chance to shoot for the trip. The winning Pepsi bottles were distributed throughout campus in various machines. The four winning students showed up for their chance to shoot. The students each got a chance to shoot three free throws. The participants with the most after three shots won the trip.

"All I wanted to do was go out there, shoot and win," Mace said. "I also hoped that I wouldn't get out there and make a fool of myself."
