Larger than life

Children marvel at the largest pumpkin in the state. Weighing 430 pounds, the fruit was a highlight of the 15th annual West Virginia Pumpkin Festival at Milton. The owner of the gourd is Ronal Boor of Sistersville. More than 50,000 people visited the Pumpkin Festival, which began Thursday and ended Sunday evening.

Athlete arrested on felony charges

Darius Watts was arrested Monday morning after he turned himself in to the Huntington Police Department on charges of malicious wounding and battery related to an altercation Sept. 30 at University Courtyard Apartments.

Football to create funds for libraries
