With expertise and knowledge in transportation-related fields, Bob Plymale, a West Virginia state senator, took a position as director of the Nick J. Rahall II Appalachian Transportation Institute (RTI) at Marshall.

MU receives funding for deprivation study

Marshall received a grant from NASA to help continue its research on sleep deprivation. The research looks at the effects of sleep deprivation on body functions and the brain.
