Police blotter

The following information was taken from Marshall University Police Department reports.

INFORMATIONAL REPORT:
A 2000 red Ford Mustang struck the Byrd Institutional Building Nov. 7.

The vehicle was parked in the 500 block of 11th street when its brakes failed and it began rolling down the street. The vehicle stopped at 1050 4th Ave. when it hit the Byrd Institutional Building. There was minor damage to the car.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE AND LIQUOR:
Lisa Hurley, 20, was issued an arrest citation Nov. 9 for possession of a controlled substance and liquor.

At 2:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to Holderby Hall for a drug call. Hurley gave the officers permission to search her room. Officers found a pint of Crown Royal liquor and two marijuana joints.

UNDERAGE DRINKING:
Timothy Czeka, 18, was arrested for underage drinking and public intoxication.

Oct. 27 at the Marshall football game, Czeka go into a verbal altercation with an officer. After this occurred, he was arrested.

DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED AND REVOKED LICENSE:
Jeremy Cole, 25, was arrested for driving with a suspended and revoked license.

Nov. 11 at 3:10 a.m., officers saw a Black Chevrolet S-10 run a red light at 16th Street and 4th Avenue. Officers discovered ColeÕs license was revoked for DUIÕs. Cole also had an active warrant for writing worthless checks. Cole was arrested and taken to the Cabell County Jail.
