The Thundering Herd football team is practicing before playing
Ohio University. The team has faced challenges on and off the field
this semester. Players were suspended for NCAA violations before
the first game. Later, wide receiver Darius Watts was arrested on
felony malicious wounding and misdemeanor battery charges that stemmed
from a fight at the University Courtyard Apartments Sept. 30. Despite
these controversies, the team has achieved a record of 10-1 and
a place in the MAC championship and GMAC Bowl.

design major Chris Reese. Students like Henderson have displayed
and sold their artwork in the Birke Art Gallery and Memorial Student
Center, as well as other locations on campus.

Some students objected to the Athletic Department's
hiring of Kelly Services to administer game-day parking instead
of leasing the lots to student organizations, who would sell spaces
as a fund raiser.

The Marching Thunder warms up before performing at
the Ohio University game Nov. 17. The band will join the football
team at the MAC championship in Toledo, Ohio, and the GMAC Bowl
in Mobile, Ala.
