Coordinators

Coordinators work closely with the clinical office to place teacher candidates in optimum learning environments and are there to support the teacher candidates as well as the hosting supervising teachers. The Building Coordinator is the liaison between the PK-12 school and Marshall University, providing additional support for the teacher candidate outside the hosting supervising teacher and the university supervisor.

Building Coordinators are placed at each PDS to help place teacher candidates in the most optimum environment, to be the “go to” person at his/her school for teacher candidates and hosting supervising teachers, to communicate PDS information concerning Inquiry project professional development opportunities, individual school professional development opportunities, individual trainings, school grant opportunities, TEEP opportunities, and attending PDS meetings. Thus, the PDS has a 100% commitment to collaboration with teacher candidates and the higher educational institution.
