Dr. Chris Gillette received his MS (2007) in Sport Studies from High Point University and his PhD (2012) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Gillette’s research interests include: provider-patient communication, risk communication regarding medications, health literacy, medication adherence, and scale development. He has extensive experience in using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies in community clinic-based research. Dr. Gillette’s dissertation was funded by AHRQ. That project examined how communication about the risks and benefits of asthma medications between pediatricians and children with asthma and their caregivers was related to caregiver- and child-reported outcomes.
