Dr. Wolcott received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy with a minor in Sociology from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences (PCP&S) in 1994. She then completed a one-year pharmacy practice residency at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia while concurrently enrolling in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the University of Kentucky, from which she graduated in 1998.

Dr. Wolcott began her professional career in 1990 with the Medical Center of Ocean County in Point Pleasant, NJ where she held positions as a Pharmacy Intern, Pharmacy Technician, and as a Pharmacist until leaving in 1994. From 1995 through 2000, Dr. Wolcott was the Director of Pharmacy Services at Highland Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia. During this time she entered the teaching field as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Charleston (1999 – 2000). She has experience as a part-time Clinical Pharmacist at NeighborCare Pharmacy (1997-1998) and a Relief Pharmacist at a variety of Kroger locations (1997-2011). Dr. Wolcott has held positions as Director of Pharmacy Services at NeighborCare Pharmacy (2000 – 2001) and Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital (2001 – 2002). She has also been a relief Pharmacist with Drug Emporium (2004 – present) and Fruth Pharmacy (2011 – present). From 1999 to 2002, Dr. Wolcott was President and Co-Owner of J & C RxCare, Inc., a pharmacy consulting company. Most recently, Dr. Wolcott was a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist and the Pharmacy Residency Director at Cabell Huntington Hospital (2001 – 2011).

Dr. Wolcott has taught many seminars and coursework on a variety of drug-therapy topics to learners of all levels and healthcare professions, including medical students, physicians, nurses, first responders, and other pharmacists. She has either presented or had a poster at over 15 local, regional, and national conferences.

Throughout her career, Dr. Wolcott has contributed her time and expertise to over 55 committees and community organizations. She is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition, the Critical Care Medicine Society, and the West Virginia Pharmacists Association. Additionally, she is a member of the WV Society of Health-System Pharmacists, where she was President Elect (2005 – 2006), President (2006 – 2008), and Past President (2008 – 2009). She has served as the WVSHP Chairperson of the Educational Committee, the Membership Committee, and the Scholarship Committee. Additionally, Dr. Wolcott has precepted multiple students since 1998 from West Virginia University, University of Cincinnati, Ohio Northern University, University of Charleston, and the Ohio State University.

Dr. Wolcott is a recipient of the Cabell Huntington Hospital Ambassador Award (2007), the Cabell Huntington Hospital Employee of the Year – Pharmacy Department (2005), Mylan Pharmaceuticals Excellence in Pharmacy Award (2005), and the WVU Preceptor of the Year Award (2004).
