Title: Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor Pharmacy Practice, Administration, and Research/MUSOP. 3 positions available.
Type: Non-tenure track, 12 month positions. Salary and Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Special Notes: Possible specialties – general practice, ambulatory care
Qualifications: PharmD degree, completed at least a PGY1 residency or have equivalent clinical experience; must be licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of practice site; Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification preferred. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be willing to provide service to the college/university, the community, and the profession. Ability to develop a clinical practice site upon appointment and direct patient-centered care.
Duties: Provide patient-centered, evidence-based clinical pharmacy services to the clinical site including patient education, therapeutic drug monitoring, educational in-services, medication therapy consults, quality assurance activities (MUE, measures of clinical pharmacist’s impact on medication therapy, etc), establish a practice setting suitable for training doctor of Pharmacy students (both IPPEs and APPEs) as well as residents. Further responsibilities include both didactic teaching and hands on simulations; academic advising of students; participation in ongoing curriculum development and assessment; committee work at both the college and university level; and scholarly/research activity in the candidate’s area of expertise; and committee work at both the college and university level.
