Although medical schools accept students with non-science majors it is impossible to finish some degree programs in four years and take the science block courses required for admission because the number of hours total well beyond the requirement for graduation. However, the science block required for admission to professional schools fits very neatly into many majors in the College of Science allowing students to graduate with the required 128 hours. Timely graduation with one of the following majors is very realistic through careful planning provided classes are not failed nor dropped: Some professional schools may have specific requirements or recommendations for admission. It is the responsibility of the student to examine the web sites of institutions to which application is planned and take these courses using elective hours. |
